What the price per GB leaves out
- Billing model. A monthly subscription often shows a lower rate, but it bills every month whether you use the data or not. Pay-once plans can cost more per GB at small amounts, and nothing when you pause.
- Minimum order. Some prices apply only from a set amount, such as 15 GB. Compare at the amount you’ll actually buy.
- Expiry. Residential Lite data lasts 180 days; some providers say their pay-as-you-go traffic never expires. The billing column says what each provider publishes.
- Pool tier. Many providers sell a budget pool and a premium pool at very different prices. Compare budget with budget and premium with premium.
- Coupons and tax. Some published prices include a coupon or exclude VAT. The notes under each provider say so where their page does.
- Your target. A cheap pool that gets blocked on your site costs more than a dearer one that works. Test on the real target before you buy in bulk.
How to choose a residential provider
- Estimate your monthly data: pages per day × page size × 30. Our e-commerce monitoring guide has a worked example.
- List the targeting you need: country only, or also state, city or ISP (ASN). Ours is on the locations page.
- Check protocols and sessions: HTTP(S) or SOCKS5, and rotating or sticky with the session length you need.
- Buy the smallest amount, or use a trial, and run your real job for a day. Measure the success rate and the data used per page.
- Read the refund terms before you buy in bulk. Ours: if proxies don’t work because of a problem on our side and we can’t fix it within 48 hours, the unused part is refunded (refund policy).
How this table is made
Each provider’s figures are copied from its own pricing page on the date shown, with a link. We list only amounts the provider publishes a price for, and we don’t use third-party review sites. Our own prices are read from our live catalogue when the page loads. Prices change often, so check the provider’s site before you buy.

Questions
How much do residential proxies cost per GB?
As published, at the smallest amount each provider lists, the prices in this table run from $0.99 to $7.35 per GB; at their largest listed amounts up to 1 TB, from $0.78 to $5.51 per GB. Our Residential Lite costs $0.49 per GB at 1 GB and $0.36 per GB at 1 TB, read live from our catalogue. Billing model, minimum order and pool tier change the real cost, so compare at the amount you will actually buy.
Why are some residential proxies so cheap?
Usually because the price is for a budget pool, applies only from a large minimum order or on a monthly plan, or includes a coupon. Check the notes under each provider and compare like with like.
Is pay as you go or a subscription cheaper?
A subscription usually shows a lower rate per GB if you use the whole allowance every month. If your use varies, pay-once plans avoid paying for months you don’t use.
Do unused GB expire?
It depends on the provider; the billing column shows what each one publishes. On ZenProxy, Residential Lite data lasts 180 days, and you can top up at any time.
Which residential proxy provider is best?
The one that works on your target at the lowest real cost. Shortlist two or three from the table, test each on your own job with a small amount, and compare the success rate and the cost per successful page, not only the price per GB.
