How to add a proxy to Dolphin Anty

Your proxy details

After you buy a plan, open My proxies. Choose the Proxy Type (Rotating or Sticky), the Protocol (HTTP or SOCKS5) and a Format, then copy a line. The generator offers three formats:

In the examples on this page, replace USERNAME, PASSWORD, HOST and PORT with the values from your line. SOCKS5_PORT is the port the generator shows when you pick SOCKS5.

Residential lines are either rotating (a new IP on new connections) or sticky (one IP for the time you choose). Datacenter and ISP plans give you a list of dedicated IPs, one per line as IP:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD, and each line is one fixed IP.

To test a line, open https://ipinfo.io/json through it: it shows the exit IP and country. For HTTP lines you can also use the free proxy checker.

Formats Dolphin Anty accepts

Dolphin Anty accepts host:port:login:password and login:password@host:port, with an optional http://, socks4:// or socks5:// prefix for the type. Both match generator formats.

Add the proxy to a profile

1. 1Create or edit a browser profile and go to its proxy settings.
2. 2Click New Proxy and paste your line.
3. 3Click the arrows at the right edge of the line to check the connection. Dolphin Anty shows the IP’s location and timezone.
4. 4Save the profile.

Note: Leave Link to change IP empty. That field is for mobile proxies with a rotation link; with ZenProxy you change IP by using a new sticky line.

Many profiles at once

On the Proxy screen, click Add Proxy to save lines you’ll reuse. On paid Dolphin Anty plans you can select several profiles on the Browser Profiles screen and click Change Proxy to give them new proxies in one go.

To make sticky lines, open the generator, set Proxy Type to Sticky, choose a Sticky Duration if your plan offers one, set how many lines you want in Sticky Amount, then copy or download them. Each line keeps its IP for the chosen time. The session part of a sticky username differs by plan, so always generate sticky lines instead of editing usernames by hand.

Choose the country

On residential plans, add -country- and a two-letter country code to the end of the username, for example USERNAME-country-us or USERNAME-country-gb. To combine a country with a state, a city or a sticky session, build the line in the generator, which shows only the options your plan supports. Datacenter and ISP IPs have a fixed location that you choose when you buy them.

Tips

• Give every profile its own sticky line, and never share one IP between profiles. Set Sticky Amount in the generator to the number of profiles.
• Let the profile take its timezone, language and geolocation from the proxy IP, or set them by hand to match the proxy country. A US IP with a European timezone is an easy giveaway.
• Residential sticky lines hold their IP for the duration you pick in the generator. For accounts you open again over days or weeks, use static ISP IPs, which keep the same address for the whole plan.
• Check the IP after you save: open https://ipinfo.io/json in the profile and compare the country with the profile’s settings.

Troubleshooting

• The connection check fails

  Check that the proxy type matches the port (HTTP with the HTTP port, SOCKS5 with the SOCKS5 port) and re-paste the username and password.More on this error →

• Login or 407 errors

  The username or password is wrong. Copy a fresh line from the generator; don’t edit sticky usernames by hand.More on this error →

• The IP changed between sessions

  The sticky duration ended. Generate a new line for the profile, or move long-lived accounts to ISP IPs.More on this error →

• Wrong country

  Set the country in the generator or add -country-xx to the username on residential plans, then check https://ipinfo.io/json.More on this error →
